SurpassLife SurpassLife Custodians of memory

What we do

We keep what matters, for the people who matter.

SurpassLife makes quiet tools for the mind, the heart, and the connection that lasts beyond a lifetime. Mindument is the first light on the path. More will follow.

  1. MindumentYour voice, kept for the people you love. Coming soon to Android and iOS.
  2. Moving memoriesWays to keep more of a person than their voice.
  3. Video recordingsKeep a face and a smile, not only a voice, in video you record yourself.
  4. VR experiencesA place to be together again, in virtual reality.

Our mission is keeping your memory alive.

  • Spoken consentYou say, in your own voice, that you agree. It records only the account holder. It is for adults recording themselves.
  • Your real voice stays with your wordsYour original recordings play as made. The labelled text likeness uses only your own recorded words; a generated voice remains off pending legal review and separate consent.
  • It never makes things upIt answers only from what you recorded. It never invents a memory, an apology or an admission. Where you said nothing, it says so: “I don’t think I ever told you that.”
  • Real recordings firstYour own recordings are always offered before anything the likeness says. You can delete old ones outright, or record a new one in their place. Your Mindument, your choice.
  • Yours to keepExport everything at any time as plain files: audio, text and JSON. You do not need Mindument to open any of it. You can erase it all, too.
  • No ads, no trackingWe will not sell your information. Cloud backup is off in the current public build. When enabled, it will be encrypted in storage; our service can decrypt a copy for an authorised restore or hand-over.
  • The family is never nudgedThere are no reminders or notifications to the people who receive it. They open it when they choose.
  • A likeness you can correctTest the labelled text likeness privately and correct what sounds wrong. Generated speech in your voice will need separate consent and legal review before it is offered.
The Archive screen: export everything as plain files; nothing you record is sent anywhere.
Messages for later: they play first, exactly as you said them.

What we keep, and where.

  • On your phone: your recordings exactly as you made them, their transcripts, the people you name and the space you build.
  • Future encrypted backup: cloud backup is off in the current public build. When enabled, our service can decrypt a copy for an authorised restore or hand-over.
  • Only the people you chose: the hand-over opens only with a code from their email, a code from their phone, and a verified identity.
  • Your choices respected: no sale or advertising use. Chosen sharing and necessary disclosures are explained in our Privacy Policy.
  • Speech to text: the app requests on-device recognition only. If that is unavailable, you can type a transcript or keep only the audio.
  • Take it or delete it: export everything as plain files at any time, or delete it all.
  • Adults only: Mindument is for people 18 and over, recording themselves.
